Estefania took her first programming class at Carnegie Mellon during the summer before her senior year. After this class, she fell in love with the field and was motivated to keep learning. This is why she independently studied her senior year of high school. She wanted the freedom to learn more about and develop her newly found passion. She took programming, data structures, artificial intelligence, robotics, web development, among many other things. During that year she developed her first independent project Spinky, an intellectual development game. That summer she interned at Microsoft and she was hired to develop a business application for Coca Cola. Estefania is currently in her freshman year at Stanford University majoring in Computer Science. Inspired by her experience, her goal is to use technology to improve the quality of education where it is most needed. She is also very interested in entrepreneurship and hopes to start her own company someday.
